Meeting called to order by Cmdr Paul at 7:00 PM at Perkin’s in Sartell.

Opening Prayer was read by the 1st Vice, Snuffy

Last months (November's) minutes read by ADJ, John D.

Motion by Snuffy 2nd by Chuck H. The minutes were approved.

Finance Committee Report by the CMDR

All financial notes are in a separate report.

Motion to approve the Finance Officers report was made by Chuck H. and 2nd by Snuffy. Approved

Membership: Reported by the CMDR, Stands at 106, Our goal is 130.

Old Business:

Royce Nice, a Legion member, as President of the Central Minnesota Council for The Boy Scouts, gave the Legion a Thank You for giving the much needed flags to Troop 11. The Sartell American Legion purchased a United States flag, a POW/MIA flag and a Minnesota State flag for them. The Boy Scouts helped take down the flags the American Legion had posted through out the city. This year, the Sartell American Legion gave out 3 Christmas baskets(groceries) to two local churches. The CMDR wants to contact the other churches in town, to see if they would be interested in receiving these baskets. Our only condition is that the food be given to a Sartell Family and NOT sent to the St. Cloud food shelves.

New Business:

The CMDR received a request to sponsor the local Hockey team with a donation. After a brief discussion, the motion is tabled until the next meeting when the CMDR has more details. Flip M. made a suggestion on handing out the Bibles for a funeral. Instead of giving the Bible to the Funeral Director and he placing the Bible on a stand, shouldn’t the Legion hand the Bible to the widow? The CMDR will check with the Funeral Director to see if this is allowed.
