A heart felt Thank You for representing the Sartell Legion.

Nick D. presented a copy of a request for donation letter. It was well received and will be sent out directly. This will help in funding the replacement of our flags and flag-poles.

New Business:

The order to replace all the flags was entered. We need around 80 flags and poles. At our December meeting the CMDR will check on the possibility of buying a plastic sleeve to protect the poles.
Flags will be removed on December 10 at 10 AM. Pictures will be taken for the local paper.
Several members of the Legion, CMDR Nick, Ayers P. Florian M. Merlin O. Paul S. and Eli B. held a Flag ceremony at the Country Manor. They also gave away flags to Veterans and the Nursing home. About 25 to 30 people attended. The CMDR would like to make this a yearly Veterans Day event. All members agreed.
There is a website, available on our website(www.Sartelllegion.com) on how to donate good, used clothing to vets in need. The VA, in St. Cloud, accepts such donations and freely hands these to vets in need.
The CMDR asked the Legion to purchase 3 or 4 Legion caps for ware by members in certain events(ie Funerals). Ralph J. will get the cost and present this at the next meeting.
A motion to move our Legion meeting was tabled for December's meeting.
Country Manor has a flag on the outside of the building that is need of replacement. Ralph J. will see what the cost is to replace the 5. X 8. flag. This will be brought up at the next meeting.
The Legion's annual Christmas basket donation will take place at the "old" Coborns on December 19, at 6PM. These baskets will be donated to local churches in time for the Christmas Holiday.
