Old Business

Flags were removed on July 9th at 8:00 AM. Thanks Snuffy for organizing.

A motion was made to check on the costs of the Legion buying Vests for Legion events. Finance Officer Ralph J. will look into it for the next meeting.

The Legion's Web site is at Sartelllegion.com. Minutes of the Legion will be posted on the site. The Cmdr gave up his salary to pay for the set up of the website and to cover the costs of advertising in the local paper.

Snuffy (Ayers P.) collected all old and tattered flags and presented them to the Waite Park Legion for proper disposal. Thanks Snuffy.

New Business:

The poles holding up the flags need repair or replacement. Ralph J. will check on how much new poles will cost. Meanwhile, Flip (Florian M.) suggested we just trim off the bad part of the poles and reuse. This will done before the next time the flags are used(prior to Labor Day).

The St. Cloud VA Hospital has requested the presence of all to support the troops returning home from the Middle East. Erv will check as to date and time.

Honors

Roland Weis (Rolly) was presented with a PUFL (Paid Up For Life) membership in the American Legion for his many years of service to The Sartell American Legion as an Officer.

Our Legion Baseball team has requested a Color Guard for the opening ceremony of the Playoffs on August 11. Nick D. will report on this.
