Meeting called to order by Cmdr Paul at 7:00 PM at Liquid Assets in Sartell.
Opening Prayer was read by the Sgt-at-arms Chuck H.
Last months (April’s) minutes read by Sgt-at-arms Chuck H.
Motion by Robert S. 2nd by Nick D. The minutes were approved.
Guest:
Mayor Tim O’Driscoll reported that all was set for the upcoming Memorial Day Celebration. The bills will be presented to the Legion during next month’s meeting. The Mayor suggested the Legion be at the Veterans Park around 8:20 to 8:30 AM for rehearsal, with the ceremony starting at 9:00 AM. Chuck H volunteer to head up the refreshment part of the ceremony with Flip M and Snuffy to bring tables. A Thank You will be sent to Coborns for donating all the food items the Legion gave to those present at the Memorial Day Ceremony.
Membership: Membership Chairman Robert S. reported that 112 members, with the goal of 130.
Finance Committee Report by Finance Officer Nick D.
All financial notes are in a separate report.
Motion to approve the Finance Officers report was made by Chuck H., 2nd by Flip M. Approved
Old Business:
The Sartell American Legion, with the help of Boy Scout Troop 11 put up flags for the summer. The Legion wants to thank, Sam Miller, Shawn Curtis, Darin Lund and Ben Miller for the help.
The Color Guard, from the Sartell American Legion, is to line up for the Sartell Summerfest Parade by 8:30 AM on June 13th. Robert S. and Nick D. volunteered to carry flags. Snuffy is to get the other 3 flag carriers.

Election and posting of Officers to take place at the June meeting (June 17th).
Robert S. brought up a motion to have the parking lot, located next to the Veterans monument, be fixed. It is in need of repair. The Mayor stated this was not a high priority, at this time due to the cost of the project. Robert S. made a motion to investigate how much it would cost to fix the parking lot. The motion was 2nd by Chuck H and passed. Robert will investigate and report back at the next Legion meeting.
Donations: The Legion will donate $50 to the MS Society, its in the budget.
The Legion will put a donation to the VA Ice Cream Social in next years’
budget
