Finance Committee Report by Cmdr Nick

    Motion to approve the Finance Officers report was tabled until the next meeting.

2006 Membership Report by Erv H.

    We stand at 144 paid members. One over GOAL was made.

Old Business

    To repair the flags, Legionnaire Paul Schaefer volunteered his garage. 80 Flags were repaired. A thank you was given to Paul for the help. The Flags were hung on Monday in time for Armed Forces Day. Thanks to all that helped put up the flags.

    A "White vote" was cast as there were no others to run for office. For the Sartell Summerfest Parade, the Sartell Legion will be the Color Guard. Paul S. Henry D. Nick D and John D. have volunteered to march in the parade. The parade is June 10th, with line-up at 8:45 AM.

New Business:

    Special guests were Ann Doyscher-Domres(Wells Fargo) and Tim O'Driscoll from the City Council. They asked if they could help with the Memorial Day Ceremony.
    1. Ann lined up two (2) buglers to play Taps.
    2. Flags will be presented by the Legion and Wells Fargo to all guests who show up for the ceremony.
    3. A sign, displaying the time of the ceremony will be placed in Veterans Park to keep the community informed.
    4. Ann will get the announcement in the local church bulletins.
    5. Tim will make sure the area is in top shape, flowers planted and grass cut.
    6. The ceremony will be at 9:00 AM, Monday May 29th.
    7. The Legion will present the flags.
    8. The Legion will offer snacks and refreshments afterwards.

    Tim O'Driscoll brought up the Color Guard for the upcoming Summerfest. The Legion will march as stated above.
    The Legion will also buy a page for Sartell's Centennial Celebration for June 2007.
    A motion was made to move the location of where the Legion holds meetings. Although, The Bank has been gracious enough to allow us to use their back room, noise was a major set back. Paul S, will check on a new site and report back to the membership at the June meeting.
    The Legions Website was renewed for another year. A motion by Paul S. 2nd by Snuffy, approved, The Legion will have future costs added to the Legions budget.
    Charles H. (new Sgt at Arms) will be responsible for taking orders for new Legion hats and jackets. Contact him at (320) 253-9523. All orders need to be received by June 15th.
    As all the general caps are in rough shape, it was decided to order 5 more caps for use during special ceremonies.
    Charles H. Volunteered to raise flags at the three (3) local cemeteries for Memorial Day.
