Guests: Mayor Tim O'Driscoll and Ann Doyshcer-Domres gave a very good update on the Memorial Day celebration. The Mayor listed all of the items on the agenda and that Ann will be this years MC. The Girl and Boy Scouts of Sartell will help out. Ann has organized the Community Band and got two buglers to play TAPS. The presentation should take 30 to 35 minutes. The Commander is still looking to get a Rifle Squad for the ceremony. The activity will start at 9:00 AM on May 26th. In case of bad weather, the shelter in Watab Park will be used.
The Mayor requested funds from the Legion to cover printing costs. The Legion will do its share. Ann would like to be sure the wreath is in good shape for the Placement Ceremony. Ann's son is a Guardsman and will be in dress uniform to place the Wreath at the monument. The small US flags, the Legion holds, will be brought out and the Boy Scouts will be asked to pass these out.
Ann brought up the Sartell Summerfest Parade and would the Legion be the Color Guard of the Parade? The Sartell Legion will be the Color Guard. Henry D, Snuffy and John D. will carry flags as well as two Boy Scouts. The parade is on June 14th .

Motion to approve the Finance Officers report was made by Snuffy. 2nd by Flip M. Approved
Old Business:
The American Legion will have a booth at the Benton County Fair again this year. The Cmdr will get the details and find members to help out. The fair is in August.
New Business:
The Sartell American Legion will put up flags on May 3rd at 9:00 AM. Nick D. and Flip M. volunteered to drive. The CMDR will get 4 Boys Scouts to helpout. Flags need to be repaired before being posted. Dick C. will order 20 new brackets and the CMDR offered his workshop to repair the flags. This will happen on April 26th at 10:00 AM at the CMDRs home.
The 6th District Convention is in Sauk Rapids this year. The CMDR and John D. will be delegates.
CMDR requested more funds be available for the Memorial Day Celebration. Just in case the cost of printing and refreshments(managed by Chuck H.) go over the budgeted amount. Nick D. made the Motion of adding $200, Chuck H. 2nd, approved.
