Meeting called to order by Cmdr Paul at 7:00 PM at Liquid Assets in Sartell.

Opening Prayer was read by the Finance Officer, Nick D.

Last months (March) minutes read by Cmdr Paul Motion to approve the minutes as read made by Nick D. 2nd by Bob S. The minutes were approved.

Finance Committee Report by the Finance Officer, Nick D.

All financial notes are in a separate report.

Motion to approve the Finance Officers report was made by Chuck H. and 2nd by Robert S. Approved

Membership: Reported by the Membership chairman, Robert S. Stands at 112. Our Goal is 130. We have one new transfer into our post: Robert Gustafson.

Old Business:

Cmdr Paul has made arrangements for the Firing Squad from Waite Park Legion Post 428, for our Memorial Day Celebration. He will also speak with Mayor Tim O. about further details for Memorial Day. Flags will be put up on Saturday 9 May, meet at the storage building at 09:00, Cmdr. Paul will try to get some Boy Scouts to assist with this.

New Business:

Summerfest is set for Saturday June 13th, 2009 we will need 5 volunteers to carry flags for the Honor Guard. MidCountry Bank will be closing the Sartell location on June 13, 2009. This is who our Legion banks with. do we stay with them or change…? This was tabled until the May meeting for further discussion. Motion to table until May meeting made by Nick D, 2nd by Chuck H. Motion Approved. Fund request for VA Medical Center Ice Cream Social, for volunteers and/or monetary support. Motion by Nick D to table until budget for next year is set, 2nd by Chuck H. Motion Approved.
