Guests: We welcome a new member, Roger DeBodr, to the Sartell American Legion.
The Mayor of Sartell, Tim O'Driscoll, presented the idea of getting ready for the Memorial Day observance(May 26, 2008). Tim outlined a possible agenda for the day. This includes the Boy and Girl Scouts helping out, the Community Band and Choir, a Rifle Squad and Guest speakers. Tim also suggested the Legion contribute more to the cost of the observance. Additional costs would be in printing, advertisements, greenery and refreshments. The Cmdr stated he and Tim should meet to be sure all items are covered. A progress report will be made at the next Legion meeting (March 20, 2008).

Motion to approve the Finance Officers report was made by Snuffy 2nd by Warren N. Approved
Old Business
Snuffy reported on flags for Country Manor. Snuffy found a flag in the storage area, but he didn.t think it was the right size. Warren N. made a suggestion that we ask the Woodsman for a flag contribution and have the local newspaper present at the handing over of the flag. Snuffy will coordinate this and report back at the next meeting.
New Business:
The Legion received two requests for funds to support the MS society. After a little debate, both requests will be honored.
