Meeting called to order by Cmdr Paul at 7:00 PM at Liquid Assets in Sartell.

Opening Prayer was read by the 1st Vice Commander, Snuffy P.

Last months (January’s) minutes read by Adjutant John D.

    Motion by Chuck H. to approve minutes. 2nd by Dick C. The minutes were approved.

Membership: Reported by Membership Chairman Robert S. Current membership stands at 102

Finance Committee Report by the Finance Officer, Dick C.

    All financial notes are in a separate report. Motion to approve the Finance Officers report and bills was made by Chuck H. 2nd by Snuffy P. Approved.

Old Business:

    The CMDR continues to get more and more donations to help cover the cost of repaving the blacktop. A final total will be announced later in the Legion’s fiscal year.
    Scout Troop (11), that our American Legion sponsors, will have 3 Scouts earning the Eagle Scout Ranking this year. The first of the trophies was to be given to the Eagle Scout, Cole Jenkins, on 8 Feb, but a snow storm prevented the presentation. The CMDR will check with the Scout Master, John Burnett, on the next opportunity to award the trophy.

New Business:

    A meat raffle to be held at the WINNERS BAR, in Sartell, was mentioned as a money maker event for the paving of the blacktop at the Veterans Park. A motion by Chuck H. and 2nd by the ADJ, John D. to give the CMDR the okay to negotiate the deal as soon as possible. This was approved by the Legion body.
    Also passed was a motion to pay for Office Supplies used by the Officers of the Legion to do their Legion work. A pool of funds, set at $150, was set up for this. The motion made by Chuck H. and 2nd by Snuffy, was approved.
    A donation of the Unites States flag to David Peterson will occur at Sartell City Hall on Monday, Feb 22, 2010 at 7:00PM.
    Boys State was brought up and the problem of not having any candidates to send. The CMDR will talk with the High School Vice-Principle to see if any interest can be created. Along with the expenses of going to Boys State covered by the Legion, a scholarship is also awarded at the next years graduation event.
