2006 Membership Report by Ralph J.
We stand at 134 Paid members. Our goal is 143, Ralph read off the names of those Legion members yet to renew their membership. The Cmdr asked for ideas on how to get more Legionnaires involved with the Legion. No new ideas came up. Anyone with Thoughts on how to get more members or new members involved, please contact the Commander.

Old Business

Nick D. posted nine (9) letters to ask for donations. He will report next month on any responses.(This would help pay for all the flags and poles that are in need of repair).

The CMDR asked the Legion to purchase 3 or 4 Legion caps for wear by members in certain events(ie Funerals). Ralph J. will get the cost and present this at the next meeting.

Snuffy reported that the Country Manor flag, on the outside of the building, had been replaced. Not by the Legion, so idea to replace their flag was dropped.

The new flags and poles have arrived, the CMDR volunteered his place to assemble them. The Flags and poles are needed by Mid-May.

New Business

The 6th District Convention is to be held at Pine River on June 2 - 4, 2006. The Cmdr asked for delegates. The Cmdr will also check on the cost of new Legion Jackets and present the data at the next meeting. As well as the cost of Legion vests.
